Offshore Fishing Report

Halibut:  The 2012 Halibut season will begin on Sunday, May 6, 2012.
 
Rock Fish/Lingcod:  Rockfish is open year around. Lingcod is currently closed but will re-open on Saturday, March 17, 2012 and will be open 7 days per week through mid-October, 2012. Charter boats will begin taking trips on March 17.
 
Salmon:  Salmon fishing is currently closed in the ocean off Westport. The 2012 salmon season will begin in mid to late June and run through mid-September.
 
Tuna:  Albacore tuna season runs from mid-July through early October. Trips will begin in July, 2012.
